In the interest of keeping Bowdoinham Area Sustainable Energy alive, I have decided to try another approach. Most everyone in our community, including myself, already has a full plate so I understand that people do not have a lot of extra time to devote to a local sustainable energy group. At the same time, I realize the importance of making progress toward a sustainable energy future. So, in an effort to keep sharing information, I have decided to start this blog so that people in the greater sustainable energy community may be able to share the latest information on renewable energy technologies and energy conservation and also perhaps initiate dialogs on how we can make progress toward the goal of energy sustainability.
The renewable energy spectrum is exploding exponentially by the day. It would be a full time job just to keep up with one industry within this spectrum. I will try to make postings to this site that I think are relevant to our community.
There are some major bils coming up that would make a MASSIVE difference in our energy use here in Maine if passed. It would be great to get some of you all up to Augusta -- will try to let you know when the hearings are!
ReplyDeleteSounds Good Seth. We'll bring the pitch folks.

ReplyDeleteThe above link has a good article on the present status of tidal power.
Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs) seem to be the future for initiatives in the solar market. Also, F-I-T (Feed In Tariff) legislation is advancing in various states. The article on the following link is about the FIT initiatives and SRECs in Florida.
